Aquaculture & Aqua Tourism
Building sustainable fish farming and aqua tourism infrastructure to drive food security and economic diversification.
Aquaculture & Aqua Tourism
Aquaculture is one of the top strategic priorities of AMSL. This critical agricultural activity addresses nutritional deficiencies, creates employment and contributes to poverty alleviation across Nigeria, directly aligned with the Federal Government's food security agenda and the Blue Economy mandate.
In partnership with the Akwa Ibom State Government, AMSL is developing a framework to establish one of the largest fish farms in Nigeria. This initiative combines AMSL's maritime expertise and operational capability with state government resources and local knowledge to create lasting, sustainable economic value.
Beyond food production, AMSL is developing aqua tourism opportunities, leveraging Nigeria's coastal and inland water assets to create sustainable tourism infrastructure that generates employment, diversifies local economies and promotes Nigeria's extraordinary maritime heritage.
